The CHAMPS scholarship is more than an award for academic excellence; it is an acknowledgment of well-rounded individuals who demonstrate a commitment to leadership and giving back to their communities. Our holistic evaluation process helps us identify students who will take full advantage of this transformative opportunity as they enter high school.
Key eligibility criteria:
- Strong evidence of financial need must be demonstrated
- Excelling in CSEC/CXC examination (not a requirement to be valedictorian)
- Engage in at least one sporting activity
- Very strong engagement in school service or extra-curriculars
- Outstanding character shown by being responsible, respectful, and well-mannered
- Specific commitment and plans for further education
- One of three students nominated by Cayon High School
